The General Business degree and certificate programs are designed to provide students with a broad basis and foundational background in business without the depth in a particular business discipline. The CAGLE Center is the main hub of study abroad opportunities in Spears Business.

Minimum Credits Needed To Graduate:

Students in the general business major are entering a global field where information, economics and people collide. You will develop the skills in the role computer-based information systems play in organizations, how to assess global, domestic and industry trends and how to manage people, information, technology and more to produce goods and services. You will have a well-rounded business education touching on accounting, business law, computing, economics, marketing and statistics. All prospective students interested in enrolling should apply online through UGA's Office of Undergraduate Admissions website. The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus. These skills will have the student prepared to effectively compete in the competitive business world.
